There is only one other competitor in the world that manufactures Major's primary type of commercial skylight and curtainwall, and since 1993 Major has captured significant market share. Competitive pricing, honesty, and integrity, coupled with superior system performance have been key drivers to Major’s growth. Because of this growth, Major Industries expanded to 75% more floor space in 1998, and then again in 2001, bringing the manufacturing facility to a total of over 52,000 square feet. This additional space, along with state-of-the-art computerized manufacturing and accounting system, allows for improved material handling capabilities, efficiency, and the ability to better serve our rapidly growing customer base.

Major’s staff is focused on producing quality daylighting solutions, but we recognize that without satisfied customers, product means nothing. To that end, we’ve made considerable investments to improve the lines of communication with customers. Major demands a standard of honesty from its employees. They are obligated (required!) to be honest and forthright, and this emphasis on integrity has won new customers and increased our number of return customers.

In 1999, Major transitioned from a largely manual manufacturing process to a state-of-the-art integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Since 2004, Major has automated the drafting of customer submittal drawings needed for our skylights and translucent curtainwall which allows our engineering staff to focus on the supporting technical details necessary to produce a world-class quality product.
